Good Day – MAY 16
After a whirlwind tour performing for troops in the Middle East, country music artist Jade Holland will release Good Day, the fourth single off her debut album, Leather & Les Paul later this month.
The Townsville-based singer-songwriter – who achieved escalating chart success with her first three singles – wrote and co-wrote a number of tracks from the album herself, while others, including Good Day, were written by some of the best writers in the business.
“Good Day was penned by Golden Guitar winner Drew McAlister and Nicky Kurta, so I felt extremely privileged to lend my voice to it,” Holland said.
“This song found me in the early stages of putting together my debut album – Good Day gave me the strength to count my blessings and keep ploughing on.
“I hope people relate to the song with their own personal journey through life’s various challenges – and that listeners from all walks of life will find something in it, whether they’re coming out of a bad relationship or are dealing with some other challenge.
“It’s about seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and focusing on that through periods of personal growth to come out stronger on the other side.”
Holland said the single has spurred her on to follow her dreams time and time again with its carefree, summery vibe.
“Everything from the feel-good lyrics to the fluttering guitar riffs makes this such a happy, laid back song, so it’s a perfect one to listen to on those lazy afternoons in the backyard.”
